Prayer for the City Glasgow Thursday 16th April

2 Chronicles 7:14
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.


We pray for the city of Glasgow, that God moves in power and majesty, and the people of Glasgow will humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways and that we will see our city healed and restored.

We pray for the community of Anderston, that God will continue to use The Salvation Army in ministry in reaching out to our community.
We pray for protection for the corps (church) from the attacks of the evil one.  We claim the victory that is ours in Christ and that we will be bold in our vision, and even bolder in our faith that God will provide.
We pray for souls to be won for the kingdom in the community of Anderston.
We pray for the physical health of our fellowship, that God will send his healing power upon us.
We pray for the leadership team as they are on holiday, that they will have the opportunity to rest and recharge in Gods presence.
We pray for Jim, Sue and Josh, and the rest of the family, following the promotion to glory of John. We pray Gods peace and comfort upon them in these days. We pray that God surrounds them with His loving arms.
We pray for the children we work with and minister to in our kids clubs, and in the schools. We pray for Godly influences in their lives. We give thanks for the changes we can see in some of our young people.
We pray for Sarah as she works in Anderston Primary School as a chaplain.  We pray that there are opportunities to minister the gospel to the staff and pupils, and we will see people saved through this ministry.
We pray for the paper ministry each week.  We give thanks to God for the generosity of the people of Glasgow.  We pray that the people we come into contact with will be saved through this ministry.
We ask God for more people to become part of our fellowship to serve Him in our community.

We thank God for the opportunities of ministry between Glasgow City Centre Corps and the Salvation Army Lifehouses. We pray for the staff in our Lifehouses, that they will know God and make Him known. We pray that the church works together to support those impacted by homelessness and gives them a voice to speak out. We pray for Matt and for blessings on his work in the Lifehouses, and pray that we see many saved through his ministry.  We pray for Wayne and Sara as they minister in the Lifehouses as Spiritual Directors. We pray that they will know God’s peace and protection and blessings in all that they do in His name. We also pray for Steve as he ministers as a chaplain in Burnbank Lifehouse.  We pray for Fiona, Ron and David the managers of the Lifehouses in Glasgow, and pray for protection and wisdom and the Holy Spirit’s power upon them as they serve the men and women in their care.



We pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in churches in Anderston and across the City of Glasgow.  We pray for God’s protection on them in these days in all that they are doing in the name of the gospel.  We pray that God will continue to guide and lead them in what He wants them to be doing in their communities.

We pray for Martyn, and the work of Anderston Community Action.  We pray for God’s provision for finances. We pray for blessings on the Budgeting courses, and for the planning for the job club.

Lord, there are many hurting people across our city and the world.  May you fill them with your love, show compassion, give peace and bring comfort in their time of need.

Prayer for the City Glasgow Thursday 25th September 2014

2 Chronicles 7:14
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.


We pray for the city of Glasgow, that God moves in power and majesty, and the people of Glasgow will humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways and that we will see our city healed and restored.

We pray for the community of Anderston, that God will continue to use The Salvation Army in ministry and in reaching out to our community.
We pray for protection for the corps (church) from the attacks of the evil one.  We claim the victory that is ours in Christ and that we will be bold in our vision, and even bolder in our faith that God will provide.
We pray for souls to be won for the kingdom in the community of Anderston.
We pray for the physical health of our fellowship, that God will send his healing power upon us.
We pray for the children we work with and minister to in our kids clubs, and in the schools. We pray for Godly influences in their lives. We give thanks for the changes we can see in some of our young people.
We pray for Sarah as she works in Anderston Primary School as a chaplain.  We pray that there are opportunities to minister the gospel to the staff and pupils, and we will see people saved through this ministry.
We pray for the paper ministry each week.  We give thanks to God for the generosity of the people of Glasgow.  We pray that the people we come into contact with will be saved through this ministry.
We ask God for more people to become part of our fellowship in order that we may serve more of our community.

We thank God for the opportunities of ministry between Glasgow City Centre Corps and the Salvation Army Lifehouses.  We pray that we will be open to the leading of the Spirit in being bold for the Gospel. We pray for the staff in our Lifehouses, that they will know God and make Him known. We pray that the church works together to support those impacted by homelessness and gives them a voice to speak out. We pray for Matt and for blessings on his work in the Lifehouses, and pray that we see many saved through his ministry.  We pray for protection for Matt and a boldness for his ministry and in speaking the gospel. We pray for Wayne and Sara as they minister in the Lifehouses as Spiritual Directors. We pray that they will know God’s peace and protection and blessings in all that they do in His name.  We pray for Fiona and Ron, the managers of the Lifehouses in Glasgow, and pray for protection and wisdom and the Holy Spirit’s power upon them as they serve the men and women in their care.

We pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in Anderston Kelvingrove Parish Church,   New Life Church, Saint Patrick’s, the True Jesus Chinese Church and Finnieston Evangelical Church.  We pray for God’s protection on them in these days in all that they are doing in the name of the gospel.  We pray that God will continue to guide and lead them in what He wants them to be doing in the community.

We pray for Martyn, and the work of Anderston Community Action.  We pray for God’s provision for finances. We give thanks to God that there are many catching the vision of the work he is doing. We pray for blessings on the budgeting courses, the schools work, the family work and the homelessness support work that is being done.

Lord, there are many hurting people across our city and the world.  May you fill them with your love, show compassion, give peace and bring comfort in their time of need.
